This was her sort of place. Music pumping, bodies writhing, multi-colored spotlights and strobelights moving across the room and illuminating the people in the room all different colors. No blacks or whites or browns, but instead reds, greens and blues. Yeah, this was totally her scene, and it was a place she loved coming back to each time. Wynter Wallace was basking in the club scene from behind the curtain of the stage, watching the people on the dancefloor.
This was hardly her first time being at Vinny's; she and her band Poison Temptations had played there multiple times, but it never ceased to amaze her how the club was. It was a completely different place than anywhere else in the world run by the Order; it was a place with music and life, a place where people could just be themselves and relax and have fun. It was the sort of place she thrived in.
Pulling back from the curtain she looked around the backstage area; everyone else was either drinking some water or tuning their instruments. She was the only one drinking in their surroundings and she found it kinda sad; why was she the only one enjoying the place so much? With a small shrug she pushed it to the back of her mind; it was almost show time.
Once the current song that the DJ was playing Wynter made her way to the center of the stage in front of the microphone. She closed her eyes, one hand resting on the mic and the other on the neck of her guitar. She listened to the creaking of the pulleys that lifted the curtain of the stage and revealed her and her band to the club. They were met with a loud chorus of applause and cheers and it made her smile. Opening her eyes and looking out at the crowd, she knew she was home.
"Hey everyone, good to see ya tonight! We're Poison Temptations and we hope you enjoy the show!" Another eruption of applause and cheers. Wynter looked back at the other members and gave a small nod before looking back to the crowd. She struck the first note on her guitar and soon the rest of the band joined in and then she sang. This was her life and she wouldn't have traded it for anything in the world.
